Lexington Chamber Recognizes Success of Local Businesses, Professionals

LEXINGTON, S.C. – The Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center honored Midlands businesses and
professionals at it annual Chamber Awards Luncheon on Tuesday at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.

Lazy Creek Discount Pet Food Center received the Small Business of the Year Award. Lazy Creek
provides quality pet products, services and advice to its customers and stocks its store with items made in the Palmetto State.

Nucor Buildings Group was named the Large Business of the Year. A leading steel building manufacturer with
full-service plants in Indiana, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah, Nucor’s Lexington County team is comprised of 75 percent county residents.

Ben Fuller, financial sales manager AVP at First Citizens Bank, received the Young Professional of the Year
Award. Fuller is a graduate of the Leadership Lexington County Class of 2019 and serves in leadership roles for Lexington Rotary Club and Business
Networking International.

Cindy Powell, owner of Mosquito Joe of Lake Murray, was recognized for her volunteerism and advocacy
for the Chamber with the Ambassador of the Year Award.

Barbara Willm, Vice President of Development and Community Relations for the Lexington County Health Services District at Lexington Medical Center,
was honored with the Mike Till Impact Award. Watch the tribute video here.

The Chamber presents this award to an individual who best exemplifies the characteristics of Mike Till – friendliness, perseverance and dedication to the
Lexington community. Willm helped open all of LMC’s six original community medical centers and has played a vital leadership role in each of these
communities across Lexington County.
