Every entrepreneur has experienced different hills, valleys and obstacles on their journey of starting their own business. At the Mind Your Business Education Luncheon on April 28, you’ll get to hear the start up stories of four local female business owners.
The panel will answer discussion questions from moderator Connor Watkins, multimedia strategist with the Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center, then take questions from the audience at the end of the program.

Sandi Brazell
Sandi Brazell is the owner of Solid Structures, a commercial construction company located in West Columbia, SC. The company specializes in a variety of construction services including new construction, turnkey design/build services, renovations, and additions. Our typical projects include the new construction of offices, warehouses, laboratories, civic/community centers and retail spaces as well as additions and renovations.
Solid Structures was established by Sandi Brazell in April of 2008.Ms. Brazell has been in the construction arena for over 30 years and has established a reputation of being an extremely knowledgeable and conscientious contractor.
At Solid Structures, Sandi strives to stay abreast of the needs of her clients. One way is by being a member of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Association of Builders and Contractors, the Building Industry Association and taking advantage of education, conferences offered and the membership networks that are available.
Pam Modica
Pam and her husband, Michael, have been Lexington County residents for more than 20 years. In 2016, they purchased both Lazy Creek Pet Food Center locations in Lexington and Leesville. They are humbled by the overwhelming support the communities show them and are honored to serve and help others along the way.
Misty Stathos
Misty Stathos is the owner of The Stathos Insurance Agency, a State Farm
agency located in Lexington on North Lake Drive. Although Misty has been an agent in the Lexington area for 12 years, she began her career with State Farm Insurance over 20 years ago while working at the Atlanta Operations Center. As a State Farm agent, Misty and her team focus on risk management for their clients. They know that insurance is more than just a box you check off of your “to do” list, it is what helps you recover from the unexpected and provides protection for what matters most to you.
In addition to being a licensed insurance agent, Misty also holds a Life Underwriting Training Council Fellowship (LUTCF) designation and is a registered Investment Advisor.
In addition to working for State Farm, Misty and her team are active within the Lexington community. Whether it is serving on the board for the Lexington Chamber or supporting local charities such as The Ronald McDonald House, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and many more, they know that small businesses must support each other and the community in which they live.
