Cancer of Many Colors (CMC) is a non profit organization based in Lexington, SC founded by Paulette Criscione. The organization was founded to help local cancer survivors with their daily living expenses and emergency needs. The mission of CMC is to help reduce the financial hardships as much as possible on the family so they can focus on the patient. Some of the expenses covered are rent and mortgage payments so kids have a home to go to. Electric, gas, sewer, water, phone and internet so the family can keep in touch with their support system,
The name Cancer of Many Colors (CMC) was created in honor of the Criscione family to help bring awareness to all cancers. Each cancer has a color associated with it. For the Crisciones, Paulette and her father John were diagnosed with breast cancer (pink). John passed away in 1981. Her brother Richard was diagnosed with leukemia (orange) died in 2007 and her brother Jay, diagnosed with throat cancer (burgundy/ivory) passed away with bile duct cancer (kelly green) in 2009. Paulette was diagnosed with lung (white) in 2011. Hence Cancer of Many Colors was created.
CMC takes the stewardship of public’s trust very seriously. We are committed to upholding your trust through our commitment to the community when holding events that help support local cancer survivors and assure the community that we operate in an ethical manner.
We will continue to grow as a community organization and with the continued dedication of our community, together we will make a difference.
