Chamber Ambassadors
Chamber Ambassadors are a special group of people who volunteer their time to help promote the Lexington business community and support Chamber functions. Ambassadors are typically the most outgoing, pro-active employees in their company. They project a positive image for their company, as well as for the Chamber. Ambassadors perform a wide variety of duties; but their main function is to help promote the Chamber, welcome new shareholders and make our events successful and enjoyable for all.
Why become a Chamber Ambassador?
Being a Chamber Ambassador puts you and your business in the spotlight! Chamber Ambassadors are often the first community representatives a new business owner meets, which provides a unique opportunity to make new connections while welcoming a new businesses to our community. Ambassadors also attend and volunteer at Chamber events and ribbon cuttings, which are promoted on our website, social media and through our weekly newsletters. This can serve as free publicity and as great networking opportunities.

They are responsible for welcoming new shareholders, delivering new shareholder packets, attending ribbon cuttings and grand opening events, and volunteering at Chamber functions.
Responsibilities include attendance at monthly meetings, managing 35 – 40 member accounts, and active engagement.
“Ambassadors make a difference in our organization,” said Leigh Lowery, Membership Director. “They are an amazing group of volunteers who work closely with our shareholders to be sure they maximize their investment. They enjoy the rewards of making new contacts, strengthening relationships and accessing a wealth of information and resources,” she said.
Applications are currently being accepted for new Ambassadors and are due by June 1, 2023. Shareholders must have a minimum of one year as a member of the Chamber.
