New to the area but not the estate sale business. As a Florida Realtor of 20 years, I understand the need for families to have assistance liquidating and cleaning out homes of loved ones. The elderly also often times need help downsizing or getting rid of personal items to move back with family. Steve, a mechanic in the citrus industry for 38 years, enjoyed helping me on the weekends if one of my seller’s wanted to have a yard sale. This led to us starting Next Chapter Estate Sells, LLC. We are licensed and insured, and I am currently working on obtaining my South Carolina real estate license to also assist with the sale of the home as well as personal property. We are in our 3rd year in Florida and have expanded to the Midlands area of South Carolina. I was born in Greenwood, SC and have family in Edgefield and Lexington which is what led us here. We conduct onsite sales of personal property for customers looking to downsize, relocate or families of loved ones who have passed away. We use social media and other online outlets to sell items and advertise. Typically, we host our onsite sales on a Friday and Saturday. Sometimes we host a 2nd weekend if the sale is large and warrants the extra time. We research items or solicit the help of experts in the field of jewelry, collectables, antiques and things of that nature. If those items do not sell for what we believe they should then we hold back on them and continue to search for a buyer or we may recommend a consignment store or auction house. Not everything will sell, we work with charitable organizations to come clean out what is left and remove trash in exchange for the donation. We try to make sure most everything finds a new home.
