A Lake Day In Lexington

Hit the water by gliding over it, splashing in its refreshing coolness, or by jetting atop it in a myriad of watersports activities on Lake Murray’s glistening
waters that are kept gently moving by the Saluda River.

Before applying sunscreen, think about what kind of lake day the family wants to have: active or chill? A chill lake day begins at the Lake Murray Public Park,
which overlooks the lapping shores of Lake Murray, and is open from April through mid- September. Grab a picnic lunch to go from nearby Wings & Ale at the Dam to enjoy at the covered shelters beside the water. Spend the whole day there and watch a palette of colors splash across the sky as the sun dips below
the horizon.

Want to have a bit more excitement? Farther west, Southshore Marina offers pontoon, ski, wake boat, and kayak rentals, plus paddle board rentals
through California Republic SUP. Or get really adventurous and try flyboarding on a waterjet propelled board that’ll have you soaring over the
water with Carolina Hydrofly.

Refuel with a big dinner at Liberty on the Lake to continue enjoying those lake views.
